Named by Apple as one of the best apps of 2012, Cobook is a contact management app that’s simple, powerful and actually fun to use. We collaborated with Cobook to design icons, website layouts and iPhone app graphics.

Welcome to Latvia

Our team was entrusted with shaping our country’s image by creating the official website of Latvia. In collaboration with the passionate Latvian Institute’s team, we redesigned and developed Latvia.eu. It is the place where you can read the recent news and look up various topics & facts about history, economics, culture and much more.

Mukusala Art Salon

Our favourite art gallery was in a need of a serious web enhancement. By choosing a road less traveled, we were able to design and develop a unique web experience which extends the one of the gallery itself.

Visvaldis Ziedins. Movement

A hitherto little-known artist from the second half of the 20th century Visvaldis Ziedins is on of the most astonishing discoveries in Latvian art scene. The 400 page book, we were honored to design, offers an insight into the creative activities of the artist throughout his life.

Rhythm Church

Rhythm Church Miami is a community of people following Jesus and living in the rhythm of God’s kingdom. We joined in to help deliver an identity and website that reflects the spirit of Miami and the new congregation.

M4

Our friends in Norway asked us to create a visual identity for M4 – a four module training tool that helps Christ followers start new Gospel-based missional communities and churches. Each “M” stands for different focus area – Master, Mission, Multiplication and Movement.

7GURU

7Guru, the leading PR / Ad source of Latvia’s industry news, asked our gurus for a makeover. They were up for a creative approach, so we brought out more of their personality with a fun yet thoughtful logo. With the launch of a shiny new site, the brand was able to mark their 5th anniversary in style.

Mailboxing game

Our first iPhone & iPad game Mailboxing is now available on the App Store. A single-tap 3D arcade that lets you become the neighborhood hero chasing after the sneaky postman in a frenzy, smashing every mailbox standing in the way. Unlock new characters, avoid traffic and obstacles, and collect gas cans to prolong the ride. Oh, and look out for the cops and the detonated mailboxes!

Instrumenti debut album – TRU

‘TRU’, the debut album of Instrumenti is an eclectic mix of different genres and overtones. Their sound with each new track so we decided to let the music paint the picture. Every piece of the album artwork was created by the song itself. We might have helped by pouring paint onto blasting speaker membranes and catching the paint spills on paper, we might have helped by playing the drums with paint splashing drum sticks, but the real artist was the sound. We were just instruments.

RIGA shirts

We love our city Riga – a place where we breathe, work and do life. Initially, we did just a few shirts as a tribute to our city, but responding to the fellow-citizen demand, it has turned into a project that has gone beyond our expectations. Latvian Architecture Since 1991

We love books, so when an opportunity presented itself to work for the new book – V*X, Latvian Architecture since 1991, we jumped on board right away. The book assembles essays from five architectural critics of different generations, experiences, opinions and world-views to give an interesting and extraordinary insight into contemporary Latvian architecture. Our aim was to extend this extraordinary view through design, typography & various materials.

Open AD

Zane Tetere & Open AD are one of the most recognized architects in Latvia with a considerable portfolio. We gave them a web site that’s designed with cross platform compatibility in mind and looks as good from your desktop computer as any mobile device or iPad. Now they have a appropriate site to showcase their beautiful images.

Betsy Works

Betsy Works is a production company specialising in high-end moving image for the world of advertising and beyond. We came along and designed their new website–simple yet elegant portfolio with a clear focus on the produced videos.

Palladium

The legendary Palladium Cinema located in the very heart of Riga has been reborn into a remarkable concert hall. We were glad to be a part of this venture by redesigning the old logo and giving the identity a fresh spark. We’ve perfected the old letterforms and expanded the identity to suit different artists, moods and events that will charge up the venue.

BurtusType.com

We love beautiful typography and knew there were talented Baltic designers & typographers out there with a bunch of nice typefaces in their pockets. To give them the deserved spotlight and collect all the best of Baltic typography under one roof we created BurtusType.com – a showcase of selected typography from the Baltic designers.

Baltic Film Services

Baltic Film Services delivers film, tv & commercial production services in the Baltic region. Their clients are looking for clarity, punctuality & efficiency so we designed an identity that communicates these qualities in a well-defined way by using clean typography and a simple grid system. The website incorporates these ideas with a clean layout, gorgeous shots from behind-the-scenes & smooth navigation.

Liba Ece

Liba Ece is a young singer & songwriter from Riga. We did a light yet elegant promo website to help her spread the music. Click around to see the colorful vibrations.

Veto Magazine contribution

We were approached by Latvian music & culture magazine Veto to contribute illustrations & art direction for two consecutive issues. They gave us freedom to experiment & play around so we mashed up different styles, shapes and techniques for your eyes to rejoice.

Janeric Johansson

Janeric Johansson is a talented artist based in Malmo, Sweden and Kunming, China. He has been especially known for his 5 angle 3D artworks and the profound symbolism portrayed throughout his works. We were approached by the artist to design and develop his personal website.

UPPE

UPPE is a company providing a variety of creative solutions in glass. When creating UPPE’s website, we decided to use real glass and real objects animated in real time. Working alongside the creative team at UPPE, we were able to achieve a sense of realism in everything you see on the site. The initial shoot took us 18 hours straight, but it was well worth it!

British Council CCE

The British Council asked us to create a graphic identity for Creative and Cultural Economy programme, which recognizes the centrality of creative entrepreneurs to the development of a sustainable and competitive creative economy.

eParaksts

For the new identity of eParaksts (eSignature), we’ve taken the original medium of a person’s signature – ink – and expressed it in its digital context – a pixel. Everyone has a unique signature. So does the eParaksts logo is versatile with countless color and pixel combinations.

DS Magazine Cover

We used eleven different typefaces to design the cover of DS, the latvian design magazine. The issue’s main theme being based around Latvia’s identity, we entertained a variety of typefaces from the Baltic type showcase – Burtustype.com. We maintained the theme throughout the magazine by typesetting article titles in the same fashion.

Instrumenti

Instrumenti is a lovely music duo created by two talented musicians. They perform everything from pop-music to electro beats and even operatic arias from the 18th century. What they didn’t have though was a proper website. This is where we came in and designed a small but handy website that gives you the most relevant content in an easy to understand way.

Graffiti Jam 2010

Graphic identity for Graffiti Jam Festival 2010 was another contribution we did to the local street-art scene here in Riga. And it gave us an opportunity to get our hands dirty with some spray-paint during the event.

Seeks Music

Originated in London, Seeks Music is a homemade independent eclectic freeform internet radio station made by music creators, bloggers, promoters, and obsessives. We like what they do, so we spent our summer vacation designing & developing their website.

Warning Lights App

Occasionally we found ourselves in daily-life situations where we thought, what if we had… a rotating warning light. Our lives have never been the same ever after.

Netiras Cilpas

We appreciate good music, so we decided to help out two local beatmakers known as Netiras Cilpas (Dirty Loops) by creating their visual identity.

Latvia World Expo 2010

Creating the graphic identity of Latvia for the World Expo 2010 has definitely been our biggest project so far this year. Moving away from the old and worn-out traditional patterns, we’ve taken a different look at our nation and ignited a new spirit of happiness into its identity to help present the country in a different way. Latvia – Technology of Happiness.

Cirulis Typeface

The typeface “Cirulis” was specifically made for the book of Ansis Cirulis – one of the first latvian designers. The characters of this typeface is based on the original calligraphy found throughout Cirulis’ work.

ir

In collaboration with creative director Armands Leitis, we spent months of sleepless nights designing the new weekly magazine “ir” (is). This was an entirely new experience that made us fall in love with magazines. In addition, we were also asked to design the website for ir.lv.

Laiks Pielugt III

We were asked to design the third album for the Latvian Christian praise and worship CD series “LAIKS PIELUGT”.

Tvida Brauciens

Poster design for the local tweed run, organized by our friends at the bicycle renovation studio Erenpreiss and Latvian Vintage Bicycle club.

Kalnina Mammas Tejas

Kalnina Mammas Tejas (Kalnins Mom’s Teas) is our newly developed brand introducing hand picked tea from Latvian fields and forests. In collaboration with pharmacist Lillija Kalnina, we’re bringing the purest leaves and flowers to the city.    

Sniegaklubs

Our friends from a Latvian snowboard club “SNIEGAKLUBS” needed a redesign for their logo and website. Wanting this to be more than just another logo, we crafted them a custom typeface to strengthen the visual identity and to have a fun and unique look

Aerodium

After flying for few a minutes in the air with Aerodium vertical wind tunnels we came up with these different designs for their overall visual identity, website and various promotional materials. We’ve had great fun working with Aerodium for the last couple of months and hope to bring more excitement and flying experience all around the world.

BMW X1 – Do the joy! campaign

DOTHEJOY.LV is an interactive promo website for the new BMW X1 ad campaign. This was a new challenge for us to explore our development skills. Enjoy it and see what you can do with the new X1!

ROCIS

The identity of accounting bureau ROCIS communicates the two main ideas: the primary language of ROCIS accountants – numbers, and their work – characterized by integrity and transparency.

IVA – Desert Gardens

IVA asked us to design their debut album cover. The plain, deserted sleeve makes way for the intricate gardens that unfold within, bringing the title “Desert Gardens” to life, and letting us to play with origami at work.

Tramplini – Tumba Rumba

Our rockstar friends Tramplini put out a nice little album under the U.S. label Series Two Records. We were happy to help them with the cover.

Arhitekturas Atelje

Website for Arhitekturas Atelje, an architectural practice founded in Riga, Latvia, was designed to portray the philosophy of their works putting emphasis on simplicity, clean forms and rich use of the medium.

Satellites LV

Satellites LV has always been one of our favourite bands, so we were particularly excited for the possibility to work on one of the designs for their new double album release. Both album designs used drawings by Satellites LV member Edgars Zilde, which then were interpreted in different ways.

Luzumpunkts

Luzumpunkts is an adventure organization specializing in various activities ranging from surfing and snowboarding to kayaking, climbing, etc. We had to design a logo that would be easy to adjust and expand over time. The whole identity was based on a custom-made typeface, which we developed specially for this purpose. Luzumpunkts typeface can be used by itself or together with various symbols and illustrations thus forming an ever growing identity.

Keas Keasler

The website we did for Keas Keasler was another project we have enjoyed doing for this intense communicator who loves inspiring and empowering others to share in the love affair with God that has stoked his passion for building knowledge, relationships, experiences, understanding, discipline, and community – for the kingdom.

Place to get lost

This tee was particularly designed by one of our designers as a special birthday gift to his girlfriend.

Pagrafs

Pagrafs is a social project located in a basement, which is dedicated to graffiti workshops. Besides teaching various street-art tendencies and techniques, this is a place where the young graffitists can get help in their struggles and realize that there is something more than just this life. We supported the project by creating Pagrafs’ identity.

Carlos Martiínez – mime actor

We made the first version of  a Spanish mime actor Carlos Martinez website in 2003. In 2009, we created the new version of the site based on the initial concept. The purpose of the website was to create an online experience of the actor’s live performances and display the same colors, various face expressions and simplicity that the actor is bringing into play during his shows.

ADWARDS 2009

We were approached by the Latvian art directors club to do the design for 2009 ADWARDS festival celebrating the best design and advertising in latvia. The whole concept was focused on an idea of a little country having a great festival.

Bastions Security

The goal of this project was to completeley rebrand the company now know as “Bastions Security”. The tasks included developing a new brand name, corporate identity, website and promotional materials.

Plikums

Having the aim to collect all the best Latvian & Baltic design related news and events we launched a small newsblog so you can know what’s going on around the block. Recently we’ve started a video series meeting some of the most influential designers, photographers and creative people in the region to talk about their life, work and ideas.

AAKKIS

Colorful CD packaging for Latvian hip hop artist Mc Aakkis. To reflect the eclectic sound of the album, every page is filled with mixed styles, colors and forms.

Misty Keasler

The series of Japanese Love Hotels, Guatemala city dump, or chinese amusement parks – every photo has a story and character of its own. The site was designed so it would be easy to use and drive all the attention to the photography. PDN Photo Annual 2005 Website Award.

H&L Studio

The WOLDA ’08 Award Winning logo was designed for a high-end tile vendor H&L Studio. The graphical identity incorporates minimalism, simplicity and reserved refinement using “a tile” as a founding element of the logo.

Agenskalna baznica

A couple of posters designed for various worship events at the local Agenskalns baptist church.

Tramplini

Three latvian indie bands (Tramplini, Mona De Bo and Anete) joined in for a small tour and we came up with a nice little poster to promote their shows.

James Phillips Voiceovers

Combining vocation & experience, James Phillips directs voice castings, film dubbing, ADRs for feature films, and original voice soundtracks for animation films. He has become a signature voice in English, ranging from TV/Radio commercials to documentaries.
